M&G joins hands with Boao for a 10 year collaboration to share its compassionately created quality stationery with the world

Between March 28-31, Boao Forum for Asia (BFA), under the theme "Uncertain World: Unity and Cooperation to Meet Challenges, Openness and Inclusiveness to Promote Development”, congregated in Hainan,China as scheduled, and leaders of all walks of life from around the world gathered to proceed with "Boao Time" in 2023 together.”


M&G has been the official high quality stationery supplier for Boao Forum for over 10 years. Mr. Chen Huxiong, President of M&G Stationery, was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the annual meeting for discussions between Chinese and foreign entrepreneurs.

The Chinese government's work report in 2023 proposes to achieve carbon peaking and carbon neutralization in a scientific and orderly manner.Sustainable  development strategy has become a major topic domestically and internationally, and is one of the key topics of Boao Forum for Asia (BFA), which has placed special emphasis on carbon neutrality this year.


M&G believes that sustainable development will help businesses realize benefits in the long run.



As the first listed company in China's stationery industry to publish an ESG report, M&G has formulated a sustainability strategy for 2022-2025 to take a lead in the industry's sustainable development and forge a sustainable business future through the four strategic pillars of sustainable products, combating climate change,sustainable supply chains, and empowering employees and communities.




"Write a greener future". Using sustainable products as its vehicle, M&G hopes to engage more young consumers to practice sustainability starting from the small things in life,and creating a better future together. The stationery sets customized by M&G for guests of Boao Forum for Asia also implement sustainability concepts of safety, low carbon emissions and environmental protection. Among them, the bodies of the first line of carbon-neutral neutral pens, launched by M&G in conjunction with Meituan's Lush Mountain Plan, are made from recycled plastic recovered from food containers, reducing the use of virgin plastic by about 2.3g. This series of pens have been carbon footprinted, offset by carbon accounting organizations, and have been awarded carbon neutral certificates.

For example, M&G's Magnetic Levitation Cushioning Neutral Pen, which it provided to the guests of this conference, is the first of its kind to incorporate a magnetic cushioning device atthe grip of the pen to relieve pressure on the writing surface and protect the nib of the pen. It was awarded the 2021 iF Design Awardof Germany for this innovative design.



In recent years, M&G has made continuous efforts in the professional office market, and has built a complete R&D, production, and marketing integration structure, as well as developed a number of billion-dollar products that have been recognized by the market. For example, the Anti-Pinch Mini 12 Stapler, which won the 2022 German Red Dot Award, has a pioneering anti-pinch structural design with a minimalist appearance and a non-rebounding slot, making it morereliable;




China's first click-action neutral pen, the M&G K-35, which continues to be a best seller after two decades, has become a national pen that has cumulatively sold over one billion units.
